Section 504

Students with a Section 504 plan have a disability requiring accommodations, but not to the extent of special education services. These plans are created based on Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, which is a federal law that helps ensure students with disabilities have the support they need to fully access their education. Some examples of accommodations could include extended test time, preferential seating, and modified assignments.

To create a 504 plan, the Principal will bring together a team of staff who know your child to review relevant information and determine if a 504 Plan is the right fit for your child’s needs.
